Welcome to the Ladybug Class!
We are so excited for the year of wonder ahead. Kindergarten is a wonderful grade level to teach, and I am so grateful for all that I will be learning this year along with your scholars. Your scholar will be bringing home a new poem each week to recite to you. We hope the language and imagery of these poems will be the spark for conversations around the dinner table. We will laugh at silly stories and cry over sad (at least I always do), learn how different authors create their craft, and learn about times long ago. So much more will fill our days, and I know the stories will bubble forth from your scholars as they head home each day.
I look forward to getting to know you and your scholars this year as we ignite our imaginations and revel in the wonders of this world.

Items Needed:
- You do not need to purchase any school supplies for your scholar.
- Please send your scholar to school with a backpack that can easily fit a regular sized folder and perhaps their jacket.Character back packs are allowed.
- We have a lunch program through which you can order your scholar food for their recess time, or you can send a snack with them in their backpack.
- Water bottles are allowed, but please don't send twist top ones as they are impossible for the scholars to screw on without leaking
- If you send a juice box in your scholar's lunch please assure your scholar it is okay to throw it away if they don't finish drinking it after its opened.
- Please see the dress code requirements regarding shoes, outerwear, and uniforms.
