About Me

Welcome Scholars and Parents to Mrs. Boettcher’s 6th grade class! 

I joined John Adams Academy in 2017. High expectations, servant leadership and scholar empowered learning are some of the core values that drew me to this unique and wonderful school.  I am excited to work closely with scholars and families to journey through the 6^th grade! 

I was born and raised in Sacramento. I went to college locally attending Sierra College, California State University, Sacramento, and William Jessup University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with minors in English and History.  Classical literature has always been near and dear to my heart! From a young age I knew I wanted to be a teacher and strived from that moment on to meet my goal. I love being a lifelong learner and inspiring the same love for learning onto my scholars.  When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Mike, our daughters, Scarlett and Hazel, and our dog, Niner. We love outdoor adventures and can often be found camping, boating, quad riding or bike riding with our families.
