Carlos A. Yniguez embraces the Academy’s mission to develop servant leaders who will become the defenders and protectors of freedom because he believes that the promise of liberty lies solely in the formation of the youth today. Mr. Yniguez states, "A classical education, promotes an awaking of the spirit that enkindles the heart and conscience to desire to do good in the world."
Mr. Yniguez, a second-generation educator, is the former Dean of Scholars and Director of Servant Leadership for John Adams Academy and now serves in the Non-profit Services Division, where he works to further all aspects of government and community relations while assisting with compliance-related needs. The John Adams Academy Outreach Team is responsible for the marketing and messaging for all schools while taking an active role in new school development.
Mr. Yniguez has an extensive background in youth development and is a passionate mentor with a proven track record of assisting young men and women in achieving their educational and character development goals. He is the former Co-Director and Dean of Formation for the Sacramento Leadership Cooperative Program, Regional Coordinator of Conquest Boys Clubs, and a former behavior counselor for Pride Industries.
A veteran of the legal, corporate, and social services fields, Carlos is a Certified Paralegal and a graduate of the Lorenzo Patino School of Law. He currently serves on the U.S. Army Community Relations Board under the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army and is the Board Vice-President of the Consumer Self-Help Center, a local peer-run mental agency that provides critical services to individuals struggling with their mental health.
Mr. Yniguez and his wife Robin enjoy kayaking and spending time along the American River in the neighborhood where he grew up.
