About Me
Alexandra Umlas has taught literature and writing at all levels, from 6th grade to university. She wholeheartedly believes in the Classical Leadership Education model and holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, Poetry and an M.Ed. in Cross-cultural Education. Mrs. Umlas is excited to mentor scholars in embracing the Ten Core Values of John Adams Academy and looks especially forward to the expansive potential an abundance mentality can provide scholars that participate in John Adams Academy-Online. As a poet and an educator, Mrs. Umlas knows the power that is inherent in studying the classics and will guide scholars in a learning adventure that will encourage their development into servant leaders. Her favorite author is Robert Frost because he speaks clearly and powerfully about the world and its many amazements!
