We are looking for Parent Discussion Group Leaders to run Socratic Dialogs on the book, A Thomas Jefferson Education. Socratic Dialogs include a facilitator/teacher asking questions that keep the group exploring the topic. This book is one of John Adams Academy's founding documents and we would like our parents and friends to know it better.

The training for becoming a Discussion Group Leader is this Wednesday, December 7th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room of JAA. (This one-hour training will equal 2 volunteer hours.) Please read Chapters 1-3 of A Thomas Jefferson Education (TJEd) before coming, if you can. You will need to be available to lead the actual Parent Discussion Groups on December 14th, January 18th, and February 15th from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a Parent Discussion Group Leader, please contact Principal Nathan Rose.
