2024-25 Application Window

What is an Application Window?

California requires charter schools to set an application window to determine whether there are more applications for the upcoming year than there are seats available. If there are more applications than seats available the charter school is required to conduct a public random drawing (lottery) for those seats.

The 2024-25 school year application window:

Monday, January 8, 2024 - Friday, February 9, 2024

The application window is used to determine if a lottery is required for any particular grade.  

 The lottery will be used to fill available seats and to establish a waitlist, if necessary.  For frequently asked questions about lotteries and to see which grades require a lottery for the 2024-25 school year please visit the Lottery FAQ page.

Applications continue to be accepted following the application window. Anyone applying after the application window would NOT participate in the lottery, but be placed on the waitlist for that grade if no seats are available, or receive an offer of admission if seats are available.
